Margaret Elaine Robison, age 93 years, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, November 29, 2016. She was born on June 19, 1923 in Bay City, the daughter of the late James and Jennie (Armstrong) Dulong. On June 18, 1949 Margaret married Frank Robison and after 61 years of marriage he preceded her in death on August 5, 2010. Margaret was a graduate of the University of Michigan, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She would go on to teach in the Bay City Public Schools for a few years, taking a break from teaching to raise her family. She would return to her passion and retire with 23 years of teaching first grade, spending most of her time at Wenona School and Kolb. Margaret was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the A.A.U.W. and the Y.M.C.A. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint, playing bridge and cheering on her Michigan Wolverines. Margaret also loved spending time in Tennessee with her daughter and seeing her great-grandsons.

Surviving family include her children, Jennifer (Leon) Wieland, Frank F. (Jane) Robison III and Margaret (Paul) Smith; daughter-in-law, Amy Robison; grandchildren, Jon Wieland, Jared (Heather) Wieland, Jeffrey Smith and Jennifer Smith; great-grandsons, Rhett and Leighton Wieland; nieces, Kathy Dulong, Thayer (Jim) Macmeekin and Robin (Rick) Sowton-Verdon; brother-in-law, Harry Sowton; longtime family friends, Elizabeth Heath and R. Craig Cooley; special caregivers, Toni (Dennis) Kloha; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her son, James Robison and her five siblings, sisters, Mary Sowton, Alice Dulong and Agnes Dulong and brothers, Edward Dulong and Dr. John Dulong.

Margaret was truly loved and will be missed by her children, grandchildren and close friends. She stayed actively interested and involved in their sports and social activities right up to her last days. Her strength and kind, generous spirit will never be forgotten.

Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will take place at a later date. Margaret will be placed with her husband in the First Presbyterian Church Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make a contribution to the First Presbyterian Church.
