Mrs. Schank, age 83 years, died February 8, 2012 in Saginaw. She was born in Evergreen Twp, Sanilac Co., MI on June 18, 1928 to the late Leo and Emily (Campbell) Rich. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bay City.
Surviving are her daughters: Janet (Ken) Yax and Nancy (David) Matuzak; grandchildren, Dawn (Don) Weiler, Kelley (Michael) White, Kim Jerome, and David and Katie Matuzak; great grandchildren, Troy and Kali Weiler, Ethan, Alex and Nick Jerome, Michael J. and Kristyn White and several loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph H. Schank, and siblings: Lorence Rich, Marjorie Badgerow, Marie Hadd, Harold Rich, twin sister Ellen Keyser, Virginia Curler, Louise Thompson, Grace Phillips and Louis Rich.
Funeral service will be Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel E. Rathbun will officiate with burial at St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Mission Fund. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
