Our much-loved aunt, Florence Ruth (Wineman) Jarvis passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the age of 94 in the comfort of her own home in Bay City, Michigan.

She was born January 31, 1924 in Sebewaing, Michigan the daughter of the late Walter H. and Julia M. (Graves) Wineman. Florence graduated from Sebewaing High School in 1942, and the Bay City Business College in 1943. She began working at Chevrolet – Bay City as Secretary in the Material & Production Control Department in 1943 until her retirement in 1975. On September 6, 1947 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, the late Walter N. Jarvis Jr. who predeceased her on August 7, 1999. Florence and Walter enjoyed traveling, some of their favorite trips were to Spain and the Caribbean. She also spent countless hours volunteering her time at Bay Medical Center, and always looked forward to visiting with family and friends. Florence was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church – St. Jude Thaddeus Parish.

She is survived by special family members: Robert Heidt, Lynette (Bill) Eremia, Bill (Eric Pflum) Eremia, Ethan & Olivia Pflum-Eremia, April (Josh) Gremel, Anna & Jacob Gremel, Jeff Horst, Jamie Horst, Chris (Amanda) Horst, Ralphie, Mason, Bella & Christopher Horst, Bob (Brook) Heidt, Steven Heidt, Allison (Jordan) Dickson, special friends Gordie (Ann) Jenkins and several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Walter G. and Ralph D. Wineman, sisters Alice M. Rosborough, Clara N. Wolf, and May H. Andrews, and special nieces, Sally Heidt and Connie Horst.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish - St. John the Evangelist Church, 614 Pine St. in Essexville. The Rev. Fr. Dale Orlik presiding. Private entombment will follow in St. Patrick Mausoleum. The family will greet friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the liturgy. Those desiring may consider a donation to St. Jude Thaddeus Parish or a charity of your choice.
