Clarence August Pett, 89, of Greenwood, Indiana, entered his heavenly home on February 2, 2018. He was born on April 28, 1928, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Ernest and Edith (Underwood) Pett. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Elaine Helen (Feinauer) Pett; his children, Curtis C. Pett (Linda) of Gaithersburg, Maryland; Karen S. Stanley (Robert) of Indianapolis; and Randall D. Pett (Ellen) of Saginaw Michigan; grandchildren Aaron Stanley (Jena) of Carmel, Indiana; Paul Stanley (Shannan)… of Indianapolis; Rudy Pett (Michelle) of Austin, Texas; Katie Pett of Saginaw, Michigan; Helena Pett of Saginaw, Michigan; Royden Pett of Saginaw, Michigan; Kyle Pett of Gaithersburg, Maryland; and Carrie Pett of Gaithersburg, Maryland; and one great-grandson, Elon Pett of Austin, Texas.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Eva McCann Fitzgerald.

Clarence was an active member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, all of his life, most recently at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Indianapolis, Indiana; and previously at St. Luke's in Harrison, Michigan, Memorial Lutheran in Houston, Texas, Christ Lutheran in Indianapolis, and Immanuel Lutheran in Bay City, Michigan. He served the Lord with gladness as volunteer congregational treasurer, elder, and other positions throughout the years.

He was a Certified Public Accountant and was employed by Ernst and Ernst in Indianapolis for many years, later joining Premier Angus in Indianapolis and Houston, Texas. After Clarence retired from Premier Angus he and Elaine moved back to their home state of Michigan in Harrison, but they still traveled to Houston every tax season to serve many people with his excellent skills as a tax preparer until his illness intervened.

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 10, 2018, from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM with a service at 3:00 PM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3932 MiCasa Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana. Burial will be at Floral Gardens Cemetery in Bay City, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association ( or St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Indianapolis.
